CHANGE

‘Thought I need a place to change my way,
‘Thought I need a hand to guide me through;
‘Thought I need a heart to understand,
‘Thought I need a time to heal the wound.

At times I feel days are just a number,
That add to years and boil up anger;
Hide the beauty of life away beyond yonder,
Make the dreams I had a cocoon of wonder.

I know I had friends to lend me a shoulder,
A couple of place to run and hide away;
I know I had time to plan for a change,
And a loving God who always understand.

A change of season won’t heal me,
For nothing can change me, but me.
